Heritage Trail : Day 2 16,000 steps

Today in WuE (Wotton Under Edge) we had a free day with our host families. Blake and I went on a heritage walk all around Wotton with Lucy. There are 20 placards all around Wotton on the sidewalks, each with a number that coincides with a book that tells you the different pieces of history within the whole town. I suggest doing the heritage tour if you ever the countryside. We stopped off at the shop to get a cornish pasty and cottage pie for lunch. After that we headed up to James and Lesley to meet up with the rest of our team to take the 3 mile walk up to the Tyndale Monument.

It's a 111 ft tall and there are 121 steps to the top, and yes we did take them all and counted them! After the walk down we caught the end of the Cricket game England declared at 589/8 and day 2 ended with Pakistan with 57/4. Great day for England!

Dinner at James & Lesley's : Fish Pie  and pudding we had lemon merigue flan, chocolate tort, and fruit all delicious options. Many laughs to be had with our team especially with Jane and Chris at the table. We've come home again with Chris to watch some Horrible histories before bed. Church tomorrow, finally get to see everyone again!
