Thursday:
It was a morning just like any other in a country unlike any other :). I got up and quickly readied myself, made a pb&j then ran off to the church to get there in time for our prayer meeting. Once I was there I set up my groups table for our lesson and various crafts. I went into the main chapel area and checked out Capt Ketchup's security safe where kids , who have written me jokes, leave them in there for me, I sorted through them to find some really good ones and to make sure I understood them before I read them in from of everyone later.
It was an excellent day at Holiday Club, the kids were told to dress up as secret agent or rescue workers. There were so many cute fire fighter and some fancy little James Bonds. I decided to be Agent Z all day, except for when of course I made an appearance as Capt Ketchup "Head of Security", so there were quite a few moments where the kids would be like "Oh Agent Z, you're the mole (kid glare)". All week we had at least 100 kids and a few more so its a total success already even though there's one day left.
After Holiday Club, I came back home to help Lucy watch/play with two of her grandchildren, Jackson and Marni, we colored, sang horrible histories' songs and danced to them as well, there was also some butterfly hunting, they found 13, it was an amazingly relaxing/loud afternoon.
Once it was dinner time I headed up to James and Lesley's house for fish & chips (so delicious) and then we walked down to the church for a Magic/Comic act John Archer, English comedian/magician who fooled Penn & Teller. He was brilliant, my cheeks hurt after the show he was so funny and did some really cool tricks as well, including one where he swallowed a balloon and we never saw it again. He is also a Christian, and gave a very moving (with funny bits) when telling his story of how he became a Christian. He didn't lay on thick either, it was a very good easy to follow coming to Christ story and didn't end with "repent ye sinners" but instead said "If you have questions about this Jesus guy or God, the church is here to answer those and if after you've researched you're still not convinced that's ok too.
