Wednesday:
After a late night with Lucy watching Horrible Histories I got up rather late and quickly got moving and headed down to the church. I still made it at 9:30 thank goodness they live so close to the church. Val went over what we were doing with the kids and then we went to our big prayer circle and prayed for the day to be well and for the kids to open their ears and hearts to know about Jesus. Today they dressed up as Egyptians, oh it was brilliant. So many of them did it and put a lot of work into their costumes, one boy was wrapped up like a mummy and his mom sent him with a roll of toilet paper to patch up any rips.
Capt Ketchup made her appearance, we were at Security Alert color Barbie Pink, so I brought my Barbie Diamond Castle coloring book so they could laugh at the silliness that I would own one but also so they could see the color pink I meant, but mainly to laugh at me lol. I threw out some more shirts,(its a t-shirt with a ketchup bottle with my face on it) the kids are loving them.
The message that Tom gave today was about Moses and Aaron going to Pharaoh to have him let the people go, but we all know how that goes (if not, he says "No"). Aaron performed some miracles with his staff like it turning into a snake and still nothing. In the Drama, the mole has struck again and sent them to the wrong station and they are no closer to getting the Operation Moses Rescue papers back but they're getting really close to figuring out my identity and the kids are really not liking Agent Z. I'm very happy they're enjoying it and catching on to what is happening.
Once Holiday Club was over for the day we had our lunches/daily meeting with the crew then headed up to Lesley's house to split up again to head to the Seaside. It's funny, at home I'd have to go 16 or 17 hrs to see the sea and here I can pretty much an hr in almost any direction and find it. The pier at Weston Super Mare just reopened so went there and walked it, rode on the go-karts, had donuts, petted the donkeys (cause we are too big to ride, Liz was very sad to hear it), and then walked down to the sand sculpture exhibit. It was a gorgeous day for it and the beach was very nice and not muddy like it usually is.
Once we got home we freshened up to head to Allison Fellowes for dinner ( Karen and I stayed at her house last year). Her sons, Alex and Jason were there to join us as well. Jason has a pet rat, Hope, which made for fun conversation. For dinner we had Chicken, green beans, carrots, roast potatoes (best so far), and peas. Pudding was a fruit salad and cream, it was very fresh and lite. We then helped clear the table and relaxed watching friends on the TV and chatting about old times and how some of us were quite exhausted.
Once home Lucy and I made Chris watch some Horrible Histories, he enjoyed my reactions better than the show but he at least stuck it out through 3 of the 7 we had recorded. Yes that's right Lucy and I, stayed up till 1 in the morning to watch it lol.
God Bless
