We began on a Sunday, so it's only proper to end on a Sunday.
Chris, english dad, lead worship this morning and asked me to help by doing the actions for the kids. My last chance to be Capt Ketchup this trip :). We had a complete children's service with all the songs from HC and some other kid's worship songs that Chris found for us to really show the kids how to praise and not just yell.
Tom was absolutely brilliant with keeping not only the kids engaged but the adults as well. We had balloons, actions, yelling, and a pinata. Lets not forget we also gunged Mr Tip Sr, the father of the drama's villain through out the week, he was a mumbler and tried to shut down the church to make a car park, dreadful man, but he got gunged in the end so it was absolutely fantastic service.
After we had our tea and biscuits and helped put the church back to rights, we gave our goodbyes and hugs, then set off to Frampton on Severn to Susie's house for a huge lunch (so much food but sooo good). Today was a magical day because this was the first day all week that Desmond was legitimately full after eating lunch and pudding. We finally got to the bottom of the pit ;). Pudding : Blackberry Crumble, words are never enough to describe the puddings here.
We played Articulate, a game very similar to Taboo, we split into teams (one Brit on each team), my team consisted of Sarah, Lesley, Susie, and myself (we got two Brits) we're the winning team by one space only. Closely followed by Annette, Karen, and James, and in last place was Desmond, Donna, Angie, and Charlie (Susie's husband). After that a few of us went for a walk around the country side and saw one of Henry II mistress' house, where Susie and Charlie lived for a while until their home they live in now was finished.
We came home, packed our bags and now we're waiting the hours until we're home bound.
Fun Facts: Parting is such sweet sorrow. Many hugs and the holding back of tears today.
The first coffee mug had King Charles II face on it. A mug of his mug, hahaha.
We played telephone pictionary today and the best one started as, "water skiing" and ended as "A fish, fishing for other fish.
God Bless and Prayers for safe travel,
Scarlett and the England Team
p.s. we'll be back in the states before you can say bobs your uncle.
p.p.s. Thanks so much to Annette, Lesley, Karen, and Tom for all their hard work not only with HC but with getting our team here and enabling us to experience God's work here first hand.
